Our Supporters

As well as the support of our major sponsors above we are grateful to acknowledge our supporting partners.

As one of New Zealand’s best-loved design agencies, Ocean has a great reputation of helping their clients find exciting, creative and tactical ways to communicate with people. Through pro bono creative work, the team at Ocean has been supporting Living Legends providing the project with excellent creative thinking that has led to the creation of our brand. Ocean has had a hand in much of Living Legends communications and marketing material.

Paper4trees runs a programme encouraging schools and preschools to reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill. Paper4trees provides schools and preschools with the resources they need to set up an easy-to-use, in house paper and cardboard recycling system. In turn schools and preschools are rewarded with native trees, shrubs, grasses and flaxes. Living Legends and Paper4trees worked together in 2012 and 2013 to offer schools the opportunity to plant these within a Living Legends project.

The Taranaki Tree Trust is a charitable trust dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the Taranaki region’s ecosystems and landscapes. The Trust has provided Living Legends with funding for trees at the Taranaki Living Legends project on New Plymouth’s Coastal Walkway.

Crown’s support of Living Legends was led by their staff “Green Teams”, based at each of their 11 branches. For every long distance move that Crown completes, Living Legends received funding for a plant – that’s thousands of native trees and shrubs! Then Crown’s “Green Teams” came and helped us plant the trees in the ground. Crown’s commitment to sustainability doesn’t end with Living Legends though, nationally Crown has made the decision to containerise each of their long distance household moves and transport them by rail and sea. This approach has significantly reduced their carbon footprint and contributed to less congestion and maintenance on our roads. They are also replacing their company vehicles with low emission hybrids; which has halved their petrol consumption in one year.

Living Legends was proud to be part of the REAL New Zealand Festival, a nationwide celebration of New Zealand arts, food and wine, heritage, culture, entertainment, business and lifestyle during Rugby World Cup 2011.
